Versatile Veteran

Prosenjit Chattopadhyay has proved his mettle as an actor of substance over and over again. His subdued performance in 'Chokher Bali' was in stark contrast to his usual powerhouse performances in out-and-out commercial Bengali movies. His superb performances in the roles of the father and the son in 'Criminal’ and in variegated roles in 'Sangram', a la Uttam Kumar in 'Sabyasachi' indeed deserve kudos. Rituporno Ghosh's 'Khela' should be another blockbuster from his kitty.
