Mosquito Farm

The Jadavpur University has been awarded the tag of a University with Potential for Excellence, and its Raja Subodh Chandra Mullick Road campus is located in the West Bengal State Legislative Council constituency of Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee. But the campus is a happy hunting ground for swarms of mosquitoes. The bog opposite to the UG Arts and the UG Science Buildings provides an excellent breeding ground to these lethal parasites. After tackling with the student unrest in its golden jubilee, the University administration should look to cure this mosquito menace.
