Dr. Jayanta Ghosh’s brutal murder after picking him up from his chamber in Kolkata sheds light on the shadow of criminality looming large over the city. Not even the ordinary civilians are out of its potent grip. If philanthropist medical practitioners get murdered out of nowhere, it has to be said that there is something seriously wrong with the state law and order system and civil defence mechanism.
