Tsunami Precaution

If the tsunamis can still not be forecasted with impeccable accuracy, it is at least worthwhile to decide upon scientific measures to reduce the damage that can result if and when such a disaster actually occurs. It can only be expected that the awareness programme among coastal communities, which the scientists at the 6-10 March workshop at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics promised to undertake for reduction of possible tsunami damages materializes pretty soon and is of use in a possible hour of need.
