Another Controversy

The office-of-profit tantrums are only a fall-out of the inherent ambiguity of the Indian Constitution. Even though the Indian Constitution happens to be the longest in the world, still it is quite clear that its variety of content and explanations thereof, fall short of the requirements of the multi-party democracy that the country happens to be. There should be a pro-active permanent cabinet-level committee for constitutional review, that would keep on suggesting relevant and just amendments from time to time. Otherwise, greater national interests will continue to remain inundated by floods of apparently insignificant legal interpretational controversies, like the present one, which is definitely detrimental to the larger interests of India and her people.
