Registering The Knot

The Supreme Court of India’s decision to make registration of all marriages mandatory is laudable. It should help in sorting out legal marital complications. But the apex court should see to it that the marriage registration facility is guaranteed at all corners of the country. It should also guard against unscrupulous moneymongers trying to befool people in this regard. Without proper infrastructure the move may backfire.
