Fashion Mishaps, Tainted News
It is shocking to the senses that the Lakme Fashion Week has become has become a den of sleaze. One wonders how such a big event involving so much of manpower and capital outlay has shown mismanagement on a crucial ground. The dresses themselves, which are the protagonists of the show, have been poorly patched up in certain cases, leading to humiliation for the models. There should also have been proper and adequate arrangements for the models to change their attires and come up with new ones. Again, though such repetitive moments of humiliation are food for news, the way such incidents are displayed in the audio-visual electronic media is disgraceful. Not only is the incongruity being portrayed, it is being given a sleazy mileage, which is far from good for formative minds, watching news after all.
