England Annihilated

Kudos to Team India for pulling off a spectacular victory at Mohali against England. India captain Rahul Dravid marshaled his resources to perfection and led from the front by his exemplary batting in both the innings. It is heartening to see Virender Sehwag back among runs and Wasim Jaffer taking off from where he left in Nagpur. Anil Kumble is an old warhorse and he seems fit enough to burst into the 600-wickets club in no time. Munaf Patel is a revelation. His nagging line and length is bound to frustrate any batsman, and his pace, though not express, can still set the cat amongst the pigeons in the opposition camp. India’s pool of pacers is well and truly becoming a cause for concern among the batting line-ups across the world with the World Cup in the offing next year. India’s second youngest Test debutante, Piyush Chawla seems to be a bright prospect, especially with his positive, easy and aggressive mindset. However, the glaring inconsistency that has set into the batting of India’s youngest ever Test debutante is posing to be major cause of concern for the Team India think-tank.
