Business-unlike

As distinct from all those potentially good things that came out of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit 2006, the lack of punctuality on the part of the organizers in certain cases was disheartening. Session V on January 18 on ‘Strategic alliances: Recipe for growth’ had to be called off. A luncheon session in honour of former Philippines President Fidel Ramos was delayed by an hour. Such mismanagement on the part of the otherwise respectable CII is unacceptable. It should take more care to avoid bringing disrepute to India in general and the business community in particular.
