Fiery Decimation
It is no wonder that 150-odd hutments were razed by a Canal South Road fire in Kolkata. Neither the State Government nor the Kolkata Municipal Corporation seems worried about the sub-human way those who are now homeless used to live there. Rehabilitation of the eighty families presently without shelter in this biting cold, should be on war footing. Investigation for the cause of the fire should be simultaneously on and adequate actions are to be undertaken immediately to prevent such mishaps. Industrial licensing should not be allowed to be reduced to a ridicule.
