Problems Persist
Indian men's hockey is in total disarray. Finishing at the bottom of the table at the Champions Trophy on home soil lands the team in total disgrace. The main problem with the Indian players is that they lack in fitness and professionalism. They lack the stamina to play with the same enthusiasm and momentum throughout the match. Lack of competence in penalty corner conversion remains a perpetual malice with Indian hockey. The need of the hour is a good physical trainer and a taskmaster of a coach.
