Tainted Sports

After the game of hockey getting disgraced by virtue of an on-field brawl in Delhi, it was the time for the name of table tennis to get tarnished, in Pondicherry, thanks to alleged molestations of female players during lodging. To rub salt on the burn is the charge that some of the rooms have been ransacked and a boy beaten up by the intruders. It is high time that the sports administrators took their duty seriously, paying due regards to the safety and security of the sportspersons, both on and of the field.
