Religious Titillation

The controversy surrounding 'Jo Bole So Nihal' actually begins and ends in the title itself. There is little reason for religious sentiments getting hurt in the song that has the same sequence of words as the refrain. One wonders why the movie needs to be withdrawn from theatres in Punjab. After all, the protagonist as also the actor who plays that role, are Sikhs and the movie actually glorifies the Sikhs. If still 'Jo Bole So Nihal' has to be banned, then the remixed version of the song, "Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram" from an immensely popular 1998 Hindi movie should also be banned. Actually, there is no reason to do either.
