Debugging Cyber Crime

The new Prevention of Money Laundering Act is expected to face an acid test at the hands of people who seek to use the internet for misappropriation and defulcation of money. The threat of cyber crime is looming large in India with the boom in the country's information technology and allied industries. Sometimes such criminal practices are resorted to only for fun, but the outcome is disastrous. The performance of the protectors of law in the country in the matter of tracking down such 'casual criminals' have thus far left much to be desired of them.
