Tram Traffic
There is hardly any justification for undertaking the repair and relaying of certain portions of the Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy Road tramlines in the Maniktala area in the rainy season. Judging by the visible amount of work left to be done, it is almost certain that the job would not be finished before the rains arrive in full blast. And once that happens, the road, though wide, is supposed to get muddy, adding to the traffic snarls. The only remedy is to speed up the work, so that rains do not get the opportunity to play spoilsport with the traffic flow.
