New Coach, New Ways
Tom Moody with his experience of being a part of the Aussie winning machine, as also his long English county experience to bank upon, should be able to guide the Sri Lankan lions towards achieving noteworthy and long-lasting success overseas. He needs to have a pool of fit faster bowlers to continue the good work that Chaminda Vaas usually does with the new ball. After all, spin wizard, Muttiah Muralitharan cannot be expected to run through the opposition innings in overseas seeming wickets as well. Sri Lanka probably needs to recall physio Alex Contouri to keep the likes of Nuwan Zoysa, Dilhara Fernando, Ferveez Maharoof, Lasith Malinga and Prabath Nissanka to share the workload of swing and seam bowling with old warhorse, Chaminda Vaas, who hardly shows signs of burnout.
