The Kolkata underground railway is hardly immune to potential terrorist attacks. Passengers hardly care to pass through the metal detector gates and even if such gates signal the presence of metal, the security personnel are not be found to conduct a search. If people do not abide by the rules themselves, the same should be enforced with sustained seriousness and sincerity.
