In The Line Of Attack
The Kolkata underground railway is hardly immune to potential terrorist attacks. Passengers hardly care to pass through the metal detector gates and even if such gates signal the presence of metal, the security personnel are not be found to conduct a search. If people do not abide by the rules themselves, the same should be enforced with sustained seriousness and sincerity. But unfortunately, it requires a series of blasts in London to for the revival of such good sense, and it remains to be seen for what length such good sense gets the better of laziness on the part of the security personnel and busyness on the part of the passengers.
