All For Religion
The week-long high drama at the capital only went on to prove that Lal Krishna Advani, the man had no choice but to surrender before Lal Krishna Advani, the Bharatiya Janata Party leader. Whether he was being honest in praising the 'secular' nature of the Father of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, is not yet known for certain. But one thing is for sure,- the BJP still has a long way to go before it can really call itself 'secular'. Even a veteran leader like L.K. Advani was traumatized by the likes of the Viswa Hindu Parishad and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. One wonders on what ground Murali Manohar Joshi, a despotic advocate of 'saffronization' of politics that he has been proving himself to be, could hold on to the portfolio of the Human Resource Development Minister under a central government led by a coalition that calls itself 'National Democratic Alliance'.
