Quality Over Quantity
Slashing down the number of seats at a number of technical education institutes is a welcome move. Provision of coveted seats to the ever-increasing higher technical education aspirants all over the country caring a fig for the infrastructure necessary to provide such education in a beneficial and fruitful way should not be the aim of the educational institutions. Especially since these are professional courses, often involving payment of huge sums as fees, there is no point in pursuing such courses if the thing is not learnt properly, thereby undoing the purpose of emerging as industry-ready personnel.
