Plus Two Minus College

In view of the increasing number of successful Madhyamik examinees every year, the decision to abolish Higher Secondary courses from colleges, seems ridiculous. It is a pity that the Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, which has been dishing out quite a few of the top twenty Higher Secondary scorers every session, can no longer continue its Higher Secondary section. The situation gets even more pathetic when some of the existing Higher Secondary schools as also most of the new plus-two level schools are going for the ISC or the CBSE affiliation.
