English-bred All-rounders

Dinesh Mongia's performance in the English county circuit over the immediately preceding and the current seasons are heartening. One only hopes that he is able to carry forward this form to international circuit for Team India. He can just emerge as India's answer to the Sri Lanka's spinner all-rounders like Sanath Jayasuriya and Upul Chandana. As far as Irfan Pathan is concerned, his supposed stint with Middlesex should bring his bowling right back to its actual lethal ways. Post-Middlesex, he might just end India's post-Kapil Dev search for a Test all-rounder.
