No If, No But, Only Blast

The cinema hall bomb blasts in Delhi in reaction to the suspected and potential anti-Sikh elements in the Bollywood 'patriotism' flick, 'Jo Bole So Nihal', is shocking. Characteristic of a Sunny Deol movie, 'Jo Bole So Nihal' too glorifies the heroic feats of the Sikh protagonist. The title, reminiscent of a sacred Sikh saying, epitomises the elevation of Sikh sentiments, as portrayed in the movie. There is no reason why the Sikh devotees should get alienated by the movie. Perhaps they do not quite agree with the idea of scantily clad young women chasing the Sikh hero, in a movie entitled after a Sikh religious message. But this bit of justification behind the terrorising twin blasts is ridiculous.
