Hockey Overhaul

The Indian Hockey Federation has to be made an autonomous body devoid of political influence. Administrators may be recruited from sports management professionals, fresh from the country's premier educational institutions offering such courses. Former hockey players, as also coaches and umpires may be included in the advisory committee. Factionalism and nepotism in the IHF would mean furtherance of India's dismal run at top-level international hockey events.
