Busy Bihar Politics

The Bihar elections are finally over and the domination of the Lalu-led Rashtriya Janata Dal is also finally over. It remains to be seen whether Nitish Kumar can drive the state in the right direction in the right way. It will take a herculean effort from the new government to prevent criminal politics from continuing to hold its sway over the Bihar politics. But first of all, the government has to be kept stable. It is expected that the opposition consisting of political veterans will not look to create undue stress on the government, even though they will potentially try to play the watchdog role to perfection. Welfare of Bihar, ahead of selfish self-seeking is the need of the hour.
