Unsporting

Some of the contests on television during the live telecast of cricket matches are simply atrocious. They just ask the viewers to predict certain things - which is against the spirit of the game. It is a cliché that cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties and such SMS prediction competitions, which are of good only to the narrow interests of the mobile phone service providers, actually are malicious enough to encourage cricket betting. Such practices should be stopped immediately in the interest of the game and those who enjoy sports.
