Talent Tapped Elsewhere

Indian universities are being deprived of talent primarily because of the mounting pressure on today's youth to start earning handsome amounts from an early age. The burgeoning BPO industry is only too willing to cater to the ever-increasing financial needs of the modern youth and when the latter realize that BPO scores less on job-security and high on health problems, they resort to distance learning, to add value to their CVs. The result is that research input is showing a dip in recent times.
