Going Down

It is alarming how young Indian girls are resorting to becoming call girls, and that to not for economic reasons, but actually for the 'fun' factor associated with it. Such distasteful practices may be regarded as direct fallouts of western cultural imperialism and nauseating perversion of the concepts of women's empowerment and emancipation. Perhaps, the even more alarming aspect of the bleak social picture is that, such practices may actually lead to the increasing incidence of sexually communicable diseases, AIDS being already a menace.
