Insecure
It is astonishing and shocking how an alleged group of Maoists can virtually take over the administration of the town of Jehanabad and go to the extent of forcibly releasing a convict from police custody. It is perhaps more amazing that such an incident is repeated in Kolkata only a few days following the Jehanabad incident. In India there are train accidents galore, militant bomb blasts during rush hours, to name only two of the unfortunate, but now common criminal activities. The latest addition is storming of jails and fleeing captives from prisons. It now seems that any band of organised hooligans can commit any crime any time anywhere in India. Needless to say, the internal security has to be beefed up in the country.
