Insecure Across Borders
The brutal murder of Ramankutty Maniyappan in Afghanistan is shocking. The Afghan government has to bear the responsibility of the foreign nationals working there for various reasons. The Talibans, who are the suspected and alleged murderers, are to be met with exemplary punishment. It is the duty of the Government of India to check on the basic security arrangements provided by a foreign country, before sending its citizens to work there. The basic need of security is undoubtedly more important than any diplomatic stance.
