Ill-health All Around

The healthcare scenario in West Bengal is in shambles. One wonders how irresponsible the medical staff can get to have neglected an unconscious patient to such an extent that her eye is pricked by ants. And this has happened in state capital, Kolkata. The injury sustained by the victim may not be too serious, but the callousness of the hospital staff is a serious offence, which should not dwindle into the alleys of red-tapism, with the culprit(s) remaining unaffected.
