Enact The Bill

The domestic violence bill should be enacted without unnecessary delay. The rights of both men and women have to be protected and the same of children should not be left out. The Children's Act needs to be made more comprehensive in this regard. However, the lawmakers should guard against misuse of such legal provisions for perpetuating one's selfish interest at the expense of others. The legal provisions against domestic violence have to be same for all irrespective of religion and such other considerations. Laws need to be secular after all. It cannot be blind to undesirable but practical discriminations.
