Den Of Crime

The murderous attack on former Union Minister, Ravishanker Prasad at an election gathering in Bihar only goes to prove, yet again, that the state shows no signs of willingness to shed its disrepute of being a haven of anarchy. Killing people has become a child's play there with the assaulters seeming to attempt to end lives as a routine job. Criminalisation of politics is scaling new heights there and public polls have been reduced to a farce there, with the Indian Constitution and the Indian sense of ethics and morality disrespected at every opportunity. Lalu Prasad Yadav has inspired the common Bihari to aspire for more. He has given them the confidence to set higher targets for themselves. Perhaps it is only he who can persuade them not to stretch the limits of decency beyond normal acceptance.
