Ban-dh

The very fact that the success of a bandh is judged by the number of people hitting the road, and not by its effect on the issue of the bandh, goes to show that a bandh is just a way to squeeze out an extra holiday. In the present scenario of cut-throat competition, bandhs have no democratic base, and being a killer of working hours, are set to adversely affect the minds of the youth, who are the pillars of the nation.
