In A Comic Vein

After a long hiatus, a man in his later middle ages was given the role of a Hindi movie protagonist in 'Aks' and the trend has continued since then with fair amount of success. Amitabh Bachchan has hogged the limelight most often in such roles. But some mention has also to be made of Paresh Rawal, who leaving behind his usual villainous roles, has given memorable performances in comic roles in such movies as 'Hera Pheri', 'Aanken' and 'Awara Pagal Deewana' casting aside the usual 'heroes' and even Amitabh Bachchan, in 'Aakhen'.
