Prevent Before Pray

The reason for the Mandhadevi Temple tragedy has to be attributed to the sheer irresponsibility on the part of the temple authority as well as to the inherent human tendency to panic. The devotees are supposed to realise that overcrowding always beckons danger. And the temple authorities should spend a bit more towards maintenance of electrical wiring and provision for extinguishing fire, in case of an emergency. It is certainly much better for human beings to protect themselves and each other than to helplessly pray to God to save them.
