Communication Bottleneck

Public communication for scientists is often jeopardized by administrative and political influence. NASA scientists may be feeling free to reveal startling facts on global warming on humanitarian grounds. But they should better beware of having to bear the brunt of the Bush administration. It is bewildering how the US President is on the one hand, willing to destroy a nation to uproot a militant organization, to save humanity, and on the other hand, trying to choke the voice of a scientist eager to save the very existence of the planet Earth.
