The incident of alleged molestation of a female student at the Shyamaprasad Colege premises by an intruder is alarming and shameful. If the political capital is very much the 'rape capital' as well of the country, Kolkata should not be vying for the spot of the country's 'molestation capital'. The top cops should sit with the Kolkata college principals to chalk out a comprehensive blue-print to prevent such crimes. They are certain to have their work cut out in view of lack of uniform attire for students in almost all of the city' colleges, making it easier for the intruders to slip into the colleges and indulge in sexual harassment of the female students.
