To Play Or Not To Play

The day-long high-drama concerning the Delhi District Cricket Association's doubts over staging the sixth and final Indo-Pak One-Day International cricket match at the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium, was uncalled for to the extent of being absurd. As it is, the drama regarding Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf's visit to an Indian cricket venue to watch the two arch-rivals taking on each other is being drawn too far. It is taking ages to get Kotla fit for hosting a top-level cricket match. Regardless of the fact that BJP leader, Arun Jaitley is the President of DDCA, it is futile to search for the perverted political angle of BJP-Congress tussle in the rather amazing and somewhat amusing fiasco. It seems that whenever cricket is the bone of contention between the cross-border rivals, there is no dearth of sensation both on and off the field.
